About Our Homestead

The Osthed's Farm

In 2020, Henrik and Bri Osthed made the arduous journey from their city life in Utah to their new farm life in Florida in hopes of starting a new adventure with their two dogs (Karma & Vishnu) and their hairless Sphynx Cat (Opal). After arriving in Florida, they began growing and developing their small homestead.

As many homesteaders do, they started their self-sufficiency journey with a small flock of chickens. Over time, they added turkeys, quails, goats, and eventually emus which have become their true livestock passion.

The Ostheds love what they are doing and hope to share the joys of self-sufficiency and sustainable living with everyone they meet. They take pride in breeding healthy, happy animals that are perfect for anyone hoping to get started on their own journey.
